Myofascial Release
Myofascial release addresses the connective tissue wrapping that surrounds every muscle and muscle group in the body. When this tissue becomes adhered or restricted, through injury, repetitive use, or habitual movement patterns, it limits range of motion, reduces circulation, and often creates pain in areas that seem unrelated to the original problem.
A myofascial session focuses on specific areas of restriction with slow, sustained pressure. The intent isn’t to force a change but to invite the tissue to release and reorganize. This is precise work and it takes patience, but when a long-held restriction finally lets go, the change is often immediate and significant.
I draw on myofascial techniques throughout the Structural Integration series, and I also offer standalone sessions for people who have a specific area that needs focused attention without committing to the full series. This is frequently the right choice when something has been stuck for a long time and hasn’t responded to more generalized approaches.
